Torizont

Torizont is a sterile, pyrogen-free solution for replenishing water-electrolyte balance and calories; the container contains a single dose for intravenous infusion.

every 100 ml contains:

  • Dextrose (Monohydrate) USP 5.0 g;
  • Sodium Chloride USP 0.5 g;
  • Sodium Acetate USP 0.64 g;
  • Potassium Chloride USP 0.075 g;
  • Sodium Citrate USP 0.075 g;
  • Calcium Chloride USP 0.035 g;
  • Magnesium Chloride USP 0.031 g;
  • Water for injection USP q.s.

Used in adults and children as a component of infusion therapy:

  • in complex treatment of shock;
  • in case of thermal injury;
  • with acute blood loss;
  • with hypotonic and isotonic forms of hypohydration;
  • with metabolic acidosis in severely ill patients;
  • to correct water-salt balance;
  • with acute diffuse peritonitis and intestinal obstruction;
  • for the treatment of patients with intestinal fistulas;
  • with decompensation of electrolyte disturbances;
  • in patients with acute intestinal infections;
  • with dehydration and metabolic acidosis;

The volemic effect of the drug is short-lived; in the treatment of severe hypovolemia, combination with colloidal solutions, as well as blood and its components, is recommended.

The drug Torizont is used under the supervision of laboratory tests.

Use IV (stream and drip). Before administration, the solution is warmed to body temperature. The dose and treatment regimen are determined individually.

The daily dose for adults is 5-20 ml/kg, if necessary, can be increased to 30-40 ml/kg. Administer at a rate of 60-80 drops/min, jet administration is allowed. The daily dose for children is 5-10 ml/kg, the rate of administration is 30-60 drops/min. The course of treatment is 3-5 days.
