Tiobel Tablets

Tiobel Tablets

Helps reduce blood glucose concentrations and increase glycogen in the liver, as well as reduce insulin resistance.

each film-coated tablet contains:

  • active substance: thioctic acid 600 mg;
  • excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, aerosil (colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous), magnesium stearate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, film coating – Opadry QX yellow (321A220020).

Peripheral (sensorimotor) diabetic polyneuropathy.

Recommended dose: 600 mg of thioctic acid per day. The entire daily dose should be taken 30 minutes before the first meal (on an empty stomach), this especially applies to patients with a low rate of gastric emptying. Taking Tiobel with food may reduce the absorption of thioctic acid. The tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid. Since diabetic polyneuropathy is a chronic disease, long-term therapy with Tiobel may be required. The basis of treatment for diabetic polyneuropathy is the appropriate treatment of diabetes mellitus. For patients with severe symptoms, initial infusion therapy with thioctic acid may be recommended.
