Fiatfon

Reduces basal and stimulated by gastrin, pentagastrin, betazol, caffeine, histamine, acetylcholine and the physiological vagal reflex secretion of hydrochloric acid.

Manual

Each combo pack contains:

  • One vial of Famotidine USP (lyophilized powder) 20 mg;
  • One 5 ml glass ampoule of sodium chloride USP 0.9% w/v.
  • treatment of stomach and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal (gastroesophageal) reflux and other diseases;
  • hypersecretion of gastric juice (for example, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome);
  • prevention of aspiration of gastric contents during general anesthesia (Mendelssohn syndrome).

The prepared injection solution can only be administered intravenously!
The drug can only be taken in a hospital. Used when it is impossible to take the drug orally.
The usual dose is 20 mg twice a day (every 12 hours), intravenously.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome:
The initial dose is 20 mg intravenously every 6 hours. Subsequently, the dose depends on the secretion of hydrochloric acid and the clinical condition of the patient.
During general anesthesia to prevent aspiration of gastric juice:
Before general anesthesia, 20 mg of the drug is administered intravenously on the morning of the operation or at least 2 hours before the operation.
A single intravenous dose should not exceed 20 mg. When administered intravenously, the injection powder must be diluted in 5 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride (solvent ampoule) and administered slowly (over 2 minutes). The drug administration time should not be less than two minutes! When used in infusion, solution
must be administered over 15-30 minutes.

Elderly age: There is no need to change the dose of the drug depending on age.
